All software
updates and patches provided on this page have been provided
and tested by our vendors. Some of these updates and patches
may not fix the problems you are having or may introduce additional
problems. Please be aware that many software packages interact
poorly with each other and some just don't play by the rules.
The use of these patches are at your own risk. The Olympus DS-3000 now has multiple patches available and the latest addresses all known issues. To insure a successful implementation of this patch you should disconnect the DS-3000, uninstall the DS-3000 software and drivers, reboot, reinstall the DS-3000 software, reboot, install the desired patch, reboot, attach the DS-3000. with Release 4, in addition to many bug fixes and enhancements. Check

If you are using Outlook or Outlook Express to
send the files from within the DDSPlayer software, set the attachment
type to Uuencode or Mime depending upon the recipient. If all
of your attached files are received as DAT files whether Mime
or Uuencode is selected you may need to attach the files to
a message manually.
